Richard Kitzinger

Mary Kitzinger was Richard Kitzinger’s aunt. He is proud to continue the family connection with the Trust and its important work. Richard qualified as a secondary school teacher with a PGCE from the University of Exeter, having graduated from there with a BA in French. After many years teaching languages, both in the UK and Australia, where he was Head of Languages at The King’s School, Parramatta, Australia’s oldest school, and working as an examiner and marker for the New South Wales Board of Studies, he returned to England’s West Country. Richard has become a freelance travel writer and the editor of a magazine in Taunton, where he lives. He is currently undertaking an MA in Travel and Nature Writing from Bath Spa University, and in his spare time sings a bit, plays cricket and follows Exeter Chiefs rugby team home and away.
